SEO alternative text - better for all of us
Visitors on one of hottest spots of the world: Times Square, NYC

Have you found this page – or has this page found you via SEO?

If you really want to know what SEO in 2020 is about read on.

Maybe you belong to the growing group of people who ask themselves seriously, if they should invest in SEO.

Thanks to Google, mainly the works of the so called spam team, quite a share of Online Marketing guys doubt, that SEO projects will generate success, in other words can deliver a  good return on investment.

The majority sails near the beach and is enjoying the comfortable way: Spending their whole online marketing budget for paid search marketing.
Known as Google AdWords. ?

Maybe they are all right, but wouldn’t it be nice to pay less for more? Which is absolutely possible with SEM optimization in combination with SEO.

That means Google AdWords campaigns can be optimized through improved content matching.

My customers do not believe that paid ads exclusively are the answer for everything in online marketing.

Because Google Ads neither creates any relevance nor trust – it is not sustainable.
When you stop paying you have nothing – it is like a parking meter.

If you develop content, which is relevant to your buying personas (e.g. solves a problem, it will enhance the visibility of your website – for years. It will create trust and it will cost nothing – except the initial development cost.

In the last years you could not achieve any increase in your organic traffic  and/or you are planning a  relaunch?

Have paid a fortune in

  • non successful SEO projects,
  • use of ineffective tools,
  • weak realization of content marketing workshops
  • SEO-agency with old school approach
  • traffic-loss

Google has it made more and more difficult with their latest algorithm updates.

SEO has become damn difficult

It is a sisyphos situation:

In the next moment some SEOs believe to have known some shortcuts in the positioning of websites in the SERPs, Google has identified these optimizations as “manipulations” and punish this behavior through penalties.

In the early days it was sufficient to fill in keyword tags with the keywords of choice, to generate machine text or to buy artificial links.

The effort to discover proper working SEO hacks increased over time –  competence skills for analysis, technical expertise and content marketing were necessary.

While Google at the same time made significant progress in the identification of spam, they incentivized websites with quality content.

The Google Zoo: Bears, penguins and hummingbirds

One algorithm followed update after the other.

First came Panda (2011) and killed the click and content farms , then followed further quality initiatives with Penguin (4 Versions 1.0 in 2012 – 4.0 2016), Hummingbird (2013), Pigeon (2014) and last but not least Fred (2017).

At this point a panda picture must not miss, because we all know:

Not only that a picture is worth a 1,000 words but Google loves pictures!

Panda 1 and Panda 2
Panda is the name of one big Google algorithm update

The new SEO

The new SEO is based on user data signals, because since 2016 Google declared user feedback to the new Gold standard as ranking factor.

Google measures how long users stay on the page, whether they click on more pages, and compares the data obtained in the benchmark with the best-selling competitor pages.

Therefore, bounce rates, clickthrough rates, retention times, etc. from Google Analytics, and especially from the Search Console are worth gold.

Are your websites an attractive visitor magnet? Does your page hold what it promises in the search results?

Some big brands spend a lot of money and create fantastic websites. In doing so, they often unknowingly overlook the necessary task and budget to generate organic search engine traffic.

The design and development of a ‘state of the art’ website and the integration of the newly developed or existing content nowadays requires budgets of between € 6,000 and € 150,000.

For larger shops with Magento rather at the top, for small B2B websites based on WordPress rather at the bottom.
The budget for SEO is usually set at less than 1,000 € for the smaller budgets, an ongoing SEO support is often not budgeted …
And it gets worse.

Also, there is often no budget for content development and website maintenance, i. E. the site gets no updates, no content, etc. After 2-3 years, everyone’s lost interest in the site because it’s outdated and unkempt.

Maybe then an agency suggests that you could once again print a flyer and a new employee from the marketing area comes up with the idea to make a relaunch soon …

Why the hell should Google show such ruins in his organic search results?

The best way to increase natural search engine traffic is to make sure your website is up and running

  1. is properly signposted and linked,
  2. is considered relevant by Google,
  3. customers find what they are looking for
  4. attracted by customers,
  5. quickly provides interesting content
  6. visitors to the site feel comfortable and
  7. has a high reputation in the network.

You should focus on these 7 points.

I can help you to ensure that your business is supported by a well-structured and comprehensive optimization plan. This ensures that your website quickly climbs up the results list.

And… – Action!

For this to become reality, we do the following together:

  • Carry out a comprehensive website check with extensive keyword research.
  • Content marketing for a holistic sustainable approach and highest conversion rates
  • Continuous monitoring and evaluation of the effects of SEO measures (SEO controlling)

I know the pitfalls and effects of relaunching or migrating websites. I will minimize all risks and ensure that business as usual occurs as soon as possible.

Only the top positions in the organic search results generate more contacts and leads. And increase the confidence of existing customers, partners, employees and the other interested public in the performance and competence of a company.

But I go one step further and show you how you can use SEO in-house with your employees without an agency and without sinfully expensive SEO suites.

I’ll show you how Google Optimization is becoming a versatile online marketing tool for your business.
And thus substantially increases the added value of the company.

Where do we go from here?
